Adventure #1: Grover's

Our first adventure brought us to Grover’s Bar and Grill in East Amherst NY.“Luckily we brought our appetite because the burgers were BIG!!” (Katie). Courtney was the first to arrive and had to sign us in on the chalkboard on the wall. While we waited our turn we spent our time looking at the cute and clever posts on the restaurant wall. Liz’s favorites were “Children left unattended will be given sugar” and “Children left unattended will be sold”. Aimee enjoyed the eclectic array of chandeliers used to light the dining room. The place was CROWDED so we knew we were in for some good food! (Spoiler alert!!! IT WAS GOOD!) Between the four of us we ordered: two cheeseburger soups, 3 burgers, and one fish fry with fries. Katie made her presence known by ordering “lemon with water” to drink. The wait was not long and the service was excellent and our food arrived in a timely manner. As you can see from this picture the helpings were plenteous and we had a hard time cleanin’ our plates (yea even taking the first bite). The cheeseburger soup was their specialty and it was like: “eating melted cheese” (Katie), “a cup is plenty for two people to share because it is so rich and cheesy”(Courtney), “the lettuce in the soup was crunchy” (Liz), and “I thought it was a perfect combination of cheese, lettuce, hamburger, and spices” (Aimee). As we already mentioned several times the burgers were huge!! We loved the rolls that the burgers were served on and the meat was tender and juicy it is not a wonder that these burgers were voted best in Buffalo three years running. All in all our first experience was not a disappointing one! But don't take our word for it, go try it for yourself!
