Pearl Street Grill

Fish tacos, really cool fans, turkey melt and open-faced potroast sandwhich...that basically sums up our dining experience this evening at Pearl Street Grill.

Service wasn't super great but in their defense it WAS NHL draft night, and there were several parties going on. It was kind of hard to carry on a conversation because of the noise of other people, so we would recommend trying to get a seat on the upper level or outside.

The decorations were super intereting. There were a lot of unique things incorporated into the tables, chairs and ceiling fans. Our table looked like it had an old-fashioned sewing pedal that Aimee particularly enjoyed and the ceiling fans were all run on a series of conveyor belts and pulleys.

We started our dinner with a shared bowl of Gouda soup which we believe everyone should go try at some point if you like cheese. It was Good-A! We also enjoyed a creamy spinach and artichoke dip served with fresh veggies and pita bread.

Our waitress told us that the top selling menu items were the fish tacos and open-faced potroast sandwhich. Liz and Courtney had the fish tacos and both agreed that they were stupendous! So good! 2 tacos with white flaky fish in a spicy chipotle sauce with a hint of lime and topped with crunchy cole slaw with a side of fries was just perfect to satisfy any hunger craving. Aimee had the potroast sandwhich and believed it to be a hardy and delicious with flavorful gravy.

Justin was once again our honored guest and this time we actually paid for his dinner (since we forgot to last time). He ordered the fish fry which was a really good, classic, Buffalo tradition fish fry. He enjoyed the crispy batter and the mild fish flavor. He was happy with his choice and would definitely order another fish fry at the Pearl Street Grill.

Katie's turkey sandwhich was super tasty. Best club she's ever had!

All in all, fun evening out on the town-but be sure to bring some extra cash for the parking, particularly on a Friday night.

Tonight, fish were our friends and our food.

(In memory of our friend whom we greatly miss, Katie Sieber. Because...she is on the website and she's basically Katie Shiver...)

And there was graet rejoicing! Huzzah!
